Acupuncture is an ancient Traditional Chinese Medicine system. It is a holistic medicine practice that utilizes very thin needles to stimulate specific points on the body, generating healing, relieving pain, and promoting overall wellness. Through meridians in the body, it balances the body's energy flow, known as "qi," and can help with various health conditions.
Your first acupuncture session is an opportunity to discuss your health goals and concerns with your practitioner. We will conduct a thorough health intake, which may include questions about your medical history, lifestyle, and symptoms.
Following the consultation, you will lie comfortably on a treatment table. Your practitioner will then insert sterile, single-use needles into specific acupuncture points. The needles are hair-thin, and most people feel little to no sensation upon insertion. Once the needles are in place, you will rest for approximately 20-30 minutes. Many patients find this time to be deeply relaxing, and some even fall asleep.
After the rest period, the needles are gently removed. You may feel a sense of calm and well-being after your session.
Acupuncture is recognized for its ability to address a wide range of health concerns.
